The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released a new report featuring data collected in 2023 from high schools across the United States and found 3.3% of U.S. high school students identified as transgender, and 2.2% identified as questioning. Transgender and questioning students experienced a higher prevalence of violence, poor mental health, suicidal thoughts and behaviors, unstable housing, and a lower prevalence of school connectedness than their cisgender peers.” Follow this link to read more/download the report - share it widely as a conversation starter.
