The Bay Area Council on Gender Diversity is pleased to sponsor a youth group -- Bay Area Trans Youth Alliance (BATYA) for young people in grades 7 thru 12.
Traditionally, the youth group holds a "drop -in" style gathering on the second Thursday of each month, 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, chaperoned by parents, school counselors/social workers, and interested mental health providers; in March on Thursday the 14th, in the party room at Dave & Buster's in Bay Park Square Mall.
In addition to the monthly gatherings, the young people plan and implement special events throughout the year such as a Holiday Skating/Sledding Party, an Alternative Prom Night, a bowling event, and a summer picnic For more info - follow this link.
